Divorce Healing Services

‘As one door closes allow another one to open’

Many people find that obtaining a legal divorce isn’t enough to make them feel a sense of closure. Some choose to participate in a divorce healing ceremony to heal their hearts, mind, body and soul. This enables them to forgive past hurts and mistakes and to free each other to move powerfully into new and separate futures.
For many couples divorce can be a form of bereavement. The difference is that the support and understanding is not always available. One or the other party often find a split of friendships and loyalties, thus further adding to their pain.

As an independent celebrant Marie like many others in her field, recognises a need for a ceremony to move forward in the new role of independence or new found relationships.

Experienced Celebrant:

Marie, a qualified relationship coach trained with Newcastle College and a trained family celebrant, has created many unique ideas for a divorce ceremony.
This can involve the family and children of both parties or stepchildren from new relationships and beginnings.
Life is not always a bed of roses, often a thorn here or there or even everywhere is thrown into your circle of  life.
A Circle Of Life Divorce Ceremony
can be a real healing tool and a statement of your future intent.

Some ideas:
If you have older children, you can maybe consider melting down your rings into a meaningful symbol to give them as a gift and a reminder of the love that created them.
Divorce is not falling off the path of life;  it is taking a different one.” One in our Circle Of Life’s journey.

The ceremony:
Marie will work with the individual or the couple to explore ideas to make this a beautiful empathetic, yet unique ceremony.
A certificate of intent can be given to the individual or the couple if they are both involved in the ceremony.

Guests who attended the Wedding Ceremony can be present at your Divorce Ceremony where new songs for the future can be played. They can be as simple or as quirky as you want. It is your choice, your ceremony.
Marie will help guide you through a creative script, maybe allowing you to prepare your own promises to each other to allow the winds of CHANGE to dance between you.
