Marie has been wonderful in helping us plan our sons naming ceremony. After an inital consultation where she met us all and talked through our hopes for our son and got an idea of the family she created a wonderful script for the ceremony. Putting into words our feelings in a way we couldn’t manage ourselves. She has been very helpful (and patient) with my minor amendments to the script. She’s drawn on her experience of previous ceremonies to help guide us – for instance timing of the ceremony to make sure little children didn’t get bored.
So far Marie has been supporting us and working together with us (evenings and weekends) for a couple of months – keeping in contact by email and phone. The fact that we don’t live local to her has not had an effect on the level of service and support we’ve received.
With a week to go we’re really looking forward to the day and we would highly recommend Marie to anyone who was looking for a celebrant. Clair and Stuart. Josua’s parents. Hull Yorkshire.

Thank-you Marie for making Poppy’s naming day such a wonderful day. Our friends and family are very special to us and it was important to include as many of them as possible in the day, which you enabled us to do, either as guide-parents or mentioning them in the reading. You put such a lot of time, thought and effort into the wording of the service, and it showed, it was very personal and thought provoking. We felt involved in every step of the process, from booking the ceremony right through to the day itself. The service was definitely tailor made to our needs, and you provided us with lots of additional ideas to include in our day to make it extra special. Thanks once again for creating the memories that will stay with us forever.

Thank you for this lovely posting Elaine, It was an honour to have conducted the ceremony for a very special lady which was shared by hundreds of family and friends. I felt very humble when the funeral director sat in the chapel for the ceremony and he said it was one of the nicest he had attended. Una was obviously a well loved and very special lady. Marie x

“When my Mother in Law Una Pearce passed away in October 2011 Marie’s input was invaluable. We wanted Una’s Celebration of Life Service to be unique just like Una. After we met Marie Stuart said to me “I want Mum’s funeral to be the best funeral ever”. We both agreed that it certainly was.
Without Marie’s hard work it just would not have been the same.
I was very anxious about the arrangements before the day-but Marie’s help and support made it much easier to cope and helped me to relinquish responsibility.
We have had so much positive feedback about the day from both friends and family. – “What a wonderful service, Una would have loved the day” this is what we set out to achieve. Someone actually said to Stuart, almost apologetically “I know that this is a strange thing to say but I really enjoyed your mum’s funeral!
We know that Una would have enjoyed her day-and you made all of that happen and we cannot thank Marie enough. Thank you.

Hi Wendy and Dennis thank you for visiting the guest book and for the lovely card I received and photo of Toby. I loved conducting Toby’s naming ceremony and what a well behaved smiling little boy he was on his special day. I am now looking forward to conducting your brother Andrews wedding ceremony next year to Clare. The Circle Of Life abounds. Much Love Marie xx

We met with Marie on the 27th September and we both instantly knew we wanted Marie to conduct our Civil Partnership next November, as she will make our day special, personalised and exactly how we want it. Lovely lady and we are really looking forward to working with her.

Marie conducted our sons naming ceremony a few weeks ago and it was a lovely service.
We had many people comment on how personal and touching it was. Would definitely recommend Marie to perform a naming ceremony to anyone wishing to create a unique celebration for their child.

On Thursday we had our consultation with Marie to discuss our Daughter, Laila’s naming ceremony next year. We just wanted to express how grateful we are that we have found Marie to carry out the ceremony. She made us feel so relaxed and took the time to get to know us, especially Laila. We are so impressed with the little added touches Marie provides both before and on the day of the ceremony-she goes the extra mile!
Roll on April 2012- we can not wait!

We are really looking forward to our silver wedding anniversary renewal of vows next Saturday. It hardly seems like a year since we began preparations and met Marie for the first time. She has been very patient with a number of minor re-drafts to her script and sourcing extra decorative items for the day. Only 3 days to go !!

We had our first consultation with Marie last night, at the venue where our wedding ceremony is going to be held in a year (Marie is already starting work on our bespoke ceremony script). We would both like to say how professional Marie is but at the same time she makes you feel at ease about everything with her caring and warm manner. Nothing is too much for Marie and she goes into so much detail, it is quite clear that her main concern is making sure everything is perfect for us and exactly want we want. Our special day is going to be even more special now, thanks to Marie. Thank goodness we found out about Marie and the Circle of Life Ceremonies and cancelled the Registrar! Thank you again Marie, we are looking forward to working with you up to our wedding day. See you soon, Lucy & Ryan (The future Mr & Mrs Hill) xx
15. Abbey and Joe | July 13, 2011 at 12:26 pm
Thank you Marie for a beautiful day! Everyone remarked on how different and personal the ceremony was but mainly how good Alfie was! We’d recommend you to anyone wanting a gorgeous alternative to a christening. Hope to see you again when we introduce you to other additions in the Owen-Rogers household in years to come.
Love,
Abbey, Joe and Alfie Andrew Owen-Rogers xxx

We first Marie when we were selected as finalists in the Radio Aire wedding competition. Although we didn’t win we knew straight away we had found our wedding celebrant in Marie and are so thrilled that she will be there to conduct our special day on 5th November.
Even in these early stages of preparation Marie has been brilliant and its the one part of the day I can honestly say i’m not even a little bit stressed about!
We look forward to seeing you soon Marie x

Thank you for dropping by to make this comment Paula. Your creations are beautiful and my recent requests for the Radio Aire wedding to match the colour scheme of the Bride were met within 24 hours and delivered the next day. You also completed my choice of celebration of life cards for my ceremonies which are so very different. Your baby naming ones are perfect and you have listened to my requirements. It was an honour to conduct your fathers ceremony and the balloon release at the gardens were very special. Your family in Australia allowed the Skype communications to be clear and precise, enabling us to have eulogy involvements on both sides of the water. Thank you Marie.

I am a creative coach who works closely with individuals to create personalised stationary and greetings cards. I have been working with Marie for several months as her bespoke wedding stationary supplier.
My professional dealings with Marie confirm that she is a very approachable person who is always prepared to go the extra mile for her clients. A typical example would be providing colour co-ordinated wedding stationary to complement bridal attire.
Marie certainly has attention to detail, not only in her resources, but in her ceremonies. At the end of 2010 I had no hesitation in choosing Marie to conduct my father’s celebration of life. The preparation and conduct of this service was completed with the utmost professionalism. She liased with my family in Australia via Skype and email, thereby ensuring that everyone’s input was included in the celebration service.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Marie’s services to my friends and family and clients. Paula Walter (creative coach) York.

Nice to hear from you again Kelly I do hope your family are remaining strong of heart. It was an absolute honour to conduct both your beautiful mum Kaths ‘Celebration Of Life’ and your loving Grandads. I was so touched when you all decided to wait until my return from a family holiday for me to conduct your grandads service, so soon after your mums. Your mum is on our ‘Celebration Of Life’ page and an eternal candle will be lit for her. Thank you for your kind comment and I do hope the ceremonies you ask me to do in the future will be positive and happy events. Much love Marie x

We met Marie many years ago & she helped us, following the death of our youngest daughter Lisa. Your bereavement counselling Marie, was very important to us in the process of us getting our lives back, and we have seen you grow since those days. The ‘Circle of Life’ is very appropriate and we wish you every success in your quest to help people in their hour/s of need. Roger and Jill Prior x

Dear Annette ….thank you for visiting the site your comments make me so proud to be a celebrant in every sense of the word. I love every aspect of this vocation, but serving families in grief has a great humbleness. Your input after my specialized training to be a celebrant, as a Funeral director with modern ways and attitude to people having a choice and a voice, of how they wish their own or loved ones ceremony to be conducted, has made a great influence on my passion and success of being a celebrant. Your friendship is a bonus thank you x

It is with real enjoyment and great interest that I am watching Marie’s latest venture turn into the phenomenal success that it is destined for. I met Marie at the Leeds Guide Award Ceremony last year and remained in contact with her after really enjoying the networking ideas that we shared. Marie has a fantastic presence, and is one of those people who are put on this planet to make others feel special! This line of work is only for the best of the best, and that is exactly what she is. All the press coverage is showing others hopefully what I saw, she is a professional and outstanding celebrant who I would not hesitate to recommend. This lady will be in great demand!! xx

You have worked so hard to get where you are and had more than your fair share of trials and tribulations along the way Marie, you are a true credit to the profession and I value your friendship. I know all the families in your care will never have to worry about a thing, you would go to the ends of the earth for them and that m’lady is “special”. Don’t ever change, you are getting it so right already. love fae me xx Annette Macdonald Funeral Director MBIF
